What is Page.ly?

Can I change the default plugins or themes?
Yes. Each Page.ly install is pretty much unrestricted. Use the WP Plugin and Appearance menu's to search for and install new plugins and themes at anytime.

How easy is it to Make my own website?
It's pretty darn easy. Our website builder system does most of the work for you. After that just add content thru an easy to use editor to create your own website.

What are NAMESERVER's and why was I asked to change them?
Nameservers are like road signs for internet traffic. When someone requests your website, the nameserver tells the world where to find it. In order for your website to be found, you need to update the "road sign" to point to page.ly servers.

Do I have to renew the domain name page.ly registered for me?
YES. If we registered a domain for you at signup, we did so for a period of 1 year. You were sent an email with account information at our domain registrar (Enom.com). You may login there at any time to renew or transfer the domain.

Can I use my own domain name?
Yes, When signing up simply select the "Use A Domain I Already Own" option on the second step.

Can I change my design at anytime?
Yes, WordPress is very flexible. Simply look for and install new themes under the "Appearance" Menu.

How do I login to my website?
The login page is http://YOURSITE.COM/wp-admin Of course replace YOURSITE.COM with your actual domain name.. but you knew that right.

What Email access options do you provide?
All accounts receive free webmail access. POP3/IMAP access is available for small additional monthly fee.

How do I update my billing information?
Simply login to your website and click the "billing" tab at the top of any page.

Do I get a refund for the month if I cancel?
Nope

Is there a cancellation fee?
If your account is less than 45 days old AND you registered a domain at purchase, you will be charged a $10 cancellation fee. Else, No.

Is this just like WordPress?
Page.ly websites are powered by WordPress, but have the added benefit of personalized domains, and email. Personalized domains and email are critical for legitimizing your business. However you still get all the great benefits of using WordPress like blogging, an easy to use editor, and 1000's of free themes and plugins.

Do I own my website? Can I take it with me if I move?
You own it of course. Should you have to move your website, simply contact us and we'll be happy to see you on your way with a complete backup of files and data.
